This project concerns itself with designing a space, where quality books are exhibited, displayed and experienced. Books are designed to communicate their content through their design, both graphic and material expression. Therefore the book gallery is a place where the visual and tactile qualities of the books are displayed as aesthetic individual objects.

The interior functions as a background setting for the books letting them stand out in their size, color and tactility. The display elements holding the books all share the same dimensions, but the cut-out for the book is individually fitted for the specific book. When walking past the store looking in one will experience the space as an ongoing exhibition telling the story of the books being experienced and sold and making room for new.
