Exhibiting the Gellert Spa
The project deals with how it is possible to create a medley of space, object and people. The project resulted in a display of casted artefacts inspired from the given space, in which they are being displayed.
The interior of The Green Room in The Gellert Spa is covered in tiles that becomes skin that wraps most of the interior. The general atmosphere is overwhelming, loud and dense. Therefore the display is subtle in contrast. The porcelain objects are formed from the idea of pulling up and extending the yellow and blue floor pattern from the floor plan. It relates a very important part of the space, the tiles, to a parallel context, which also overlaps to the tile’s already existing context. This relates to the ambiguity the space offers.
